The wide beach, several hundred feet wide and miles long, lets you play just about any sport you want. Even when the beach is crowded with both vacationers and locals, you can always find room to play!
Beach volleyball is probably the most popular. There are several volleyball courts on the beach. All you need to play is your own ball. The white powder sand is excellent to play in, in fact several tournaments are held on Clearwater Beach throughout the year.
Frees bees can be played right on the beach as well. The nice cool breeze off the gulf waters will keep you cool and you enjoy the warm sun! If you didn't pack one in your suitcase, no problem! Just about EVERY shop on the beach sells them - no worries.
Playing football on the beach is very relaxing, especially with family. Tossing the ball back and forth - usually our teenage boys do this all day long!
Soccer is very exciting to play on the beach. The sand is so fine, you get plently of traction to run after the ball. Too bad there isn't any tournaments for this - at least for now! ;)
