Want to go to eat at a place that has an open air tropic feeling? Want an unbelievable view of the beach? Want some seafood? How about all three?

Frenchys South Beach Restaurant IS the place to go. Why do we like this restaurant on Clearwater beach? First, the location. When we bring the kids to the beach for the day and it's time for lunch, this is a good fit.

It is located in the heart of the beach, great walking distance from anywhere.

The laid-back atmosphere lets you sit in your bathing suit while still enjoying the cool breeze from the gulf!

The food is very good. A wide range of selection, plenty of seafood items too! The kids usually go for the Cuban sandwich with black beans and rice. They eat every bit too!

My wife goes for the Greek salad, she wants something cool but filling. Salad, go figure! ;)

I usually order the grilled Mahi-Mahi sandwich. That's right, I'm the only one who orders seafood from this restaurant. Go figure??? The prices are not bad, not bad at all. For being on the beach, you would think it would be more expensive but it is not.

The service isn't bad either. I guess this is why this place is always busy year round.

We usually do not eat dinner here, we go elsewhere like Frenchys Rockaway restaurant or the Palm Pavilion for seafood. We like this place for lunch just because it's close to the beach and has easy access.

However, they do offer a full dinner menu - although we've never eaten here for dinner.
