The valet parking is a nice compliment as well. No hassle of trying to find a parking space. Especially on weekend nights with all the locals at this spot. The waterfront view is breathtaking. The dining area is situated to face the setting sun, watch an amazing sunset from inside the restaurant or on the deck. It also looks over the water and the marina. Admire the various boats that gives this restaurant an abiance of its own. The food is fabulous! You cannot go wrong with whatever you order - seafood, steaks, salads, sushi bar - they are all GOOD! There is a tremendous selection of food. Yes, it's hard to choose. :) That's good, right?
Sometimes we order some to bring home for the next day they are that good. I typically order the Seabass - it's stuffed with shrimp (my favorite seafood by the way) and has red roasted peppers. The side of mashed potatoes are very good, I wish I could make them at home like they do. My wife usually orders different sushi from the sushi bar. Some of her favorites are the Suzy Q (spicy crab), the Fire Dragon (spicy crab), and the Soft Shell Crab (yes, she LOVES crab!!). Oh, did we mention the wine? If you enjoy a nice glass of wine with your diner, this is the place. The wine selection is almost endless! They list over 50 selections on their menu. And if requested, you can see their separate award winning wine list. Island Way Restaurant and Grill is located between Clearwater Beach and the mainland. The area is called Island Way among the locals. It is very easy to get to, about 5 minutes from any end of Clearwater Beach. This restaurant is alittle pricey compared to the majority of restaurants on Clearwater Beach. But it IS worth it! The food is amazing, the service is very good, and the menu selection is unlike any other on the beach. So if you want Sushi, seafood, steak, or wine, Island Way Restaurant and Grill has it. This is why it is popular among the locals.
